Chanel S/S 2009 Fashion Show

What Emma Wore

Emma wore Chanel head to toe at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2009 Fashion show (except perhaps the leggings and accessories of course). She went very bold with her metallic silver dress and matching jacket and added some contrast with her black purse, shoes and leggings. This fun look can be achieved pretty easily and tailored to fit what you like (colors, etc).

Dress Guide

The Dress and Jacket
The only thing we know about Emma's dress is that it is Chanel, to this day we have not been able to find the exact dress in all the Chanel Shows, it has been said it is from the S/S 2009 line but we are still unsure. For this dress you want to find a nice metallic silver dress, Emma's looks as if it has a separate skirt with a top, but it is actually a dress. You could recreate the look by getting a metallic skirt and top, or just find a dress.
Emma's jacket, like the dress, is Chanel and matches the dress. So you want to find a jacket that is the same material as the dress you get so that it matches. However, you can also get a jacket that is totally different from the dress if you wish, to add some more contrast.

The Shoes
Emma wore some Chanel high heel sandals with a very thick heel to this event. So you want to find a strappy sandal that has pretty thick heels to achieve a similar look. Her heels look as if they are suede, but thats not necessary.

The Other Stuff
Emma chose very simple accessories for this outfit so it should be easy to find similar matches. You want to look for very opaque black leggings, a quilted black bag and some simple silver rings.

Hair & Make-Up Guide

Make Up
The look: The girl next door.
The idea of this look is to keep things as natural as possible. Start off by applying a coat of powder foundation (Urban Decay Surreal Skin Universal Mineral Powder) to your skin in a matching tone. Smear a peachy blush (NARS Blush in Amour) on the apples of your cheeks, sweeping up along your hairline. Rub a shimmery nude eyeshadow (MAC Eyeshadow in Rice Paper) over your eyelids, in the corners of your eyes, and below your bottom lash line. Curl eyelashes and apply two coats of black mascara (Kanebo 38°C Mascara in Black) to your top lashes. Finish with a sweep of sheer nude-colored lipgloss (Stila Silk Shimmer Gloss).

Hair
The hairstyle: Blonde, flat-ironed locks.
Emma's hair looks pretty natural here, so if you want to leave your hair as is, feel free! To achieve her look, however, simply part your hair on the left side and straighten it in layers.
