Rodarte Private Dinner at Harvey Nichols

What Emma Wore

Emma looked gorgeous in a Rodarte destroyed dress and Chanel shoes. She did not wear any accessories, since her dress is basically an accessory. This outfit is a mix of pretty and grungy with all the different fabrics and materials used in the dress.

Dress Guide

The Dress
Emma wore a Rodarte dress to this dinner and you can, hopefully, recreate this dress. What you want to look for is a dress that has 3 colors; preferably black, white and another color. Then you want to see if you can find one with different types of fabric, some see through parts, chain and whatever else you can find.

The Shoes
Emma wore some very simple Chanel heeled sandals to the event. When looking for shoes you want to find them with 2 colors, again, preferably black and white. You want the base of the shoe to be black and the part going over the toe to be white (or whatever colors you choose).

Hair & Make-Up Guide

Make Up
Start by applying a light coat of foundation (Dermalogica Treatment Foundation) to your skin in a matching tone. Set with a light dusting of face powder (Urban Decay Surreal Skin Universal Mineral Powder) or sheer finish loose powder. Rub a silver cream eyeshadow (Stardust Créme Shadow by Jemma Kidd in Star) on eyelids, in the corners of your eyes, and below your bottom lash line. Curl eyelashes and apply two coats of black mascara (Kanebo 38°C Mascara in Black). Smudge a line of charcoal eyeliner (Maybelline Define-A-Line Eyeliner in Grey) to your top and bottom lids. Finish by applying a light coat of matte lipstick (Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Stain Lip Color in Exotic) with your fingers.

Hair
Part your hair on the side. Using a brush, pull your hair towards the nape of your neck; leave the front few layers loose. Pull your hair into a low ponytail, pulling it completely through an elastic band two times; on the third time, pull your hair only three-fourths of the way through, letting the ends stick out. Once you've finished, use your fingers to gently loosen up the bun. Set everything with hairspray if needed.
