What Emma Wore

Dress Guide

The Dress
Emma wore a beautiful cream/white dress to the 2008 Sony Ericson Empire Awards. To get a similar dress you are looking for a few things; above the knee, sweetheart top, ruffles/detail on skirt, cream/white color. You can change or remove some of the elements to fit your own style.

The Shoes
Emma wore a pair of Burberry strappy black high heels. Ideally, you want to look for one strap around your toes and then criss-crossing straps around your ankle. You also want to get a nice high heel, as high as you dare.

The Accessories
Emma wore a black studded bracelet along with a white feather bag that looks as it could have come from Hedwig. Whenever you buy fur or feathers, please try to get faux fur since you don't want to hurt the poor animals. For the bracelet you want to look for a thick bracelet with gold stud accents, or some form of accent.

Hair & Make-Up Guide

Make Up
For even skin, start by using a luminescent sheer foundation (Bare Escentuals bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation). Curl your eyelashes and apply two coats of black mascara (Smashbox Bionic Mascara in Jet Black). Apply a translucent silver cream shadow to your top and bottom eyelids, then apply a sheer coppery rose cream shadow to the top lids, starting from the center of the lid and creating a wing out past the edge of your eye. Dust apple-red blush on your cheeks, sweeping all the way up to the brow bone. To finish, apply a coat of rasperry lipstick to your lips.

Hair
Straighten your hair in layers and part it on the side. Using your fingers or a brush, pull your hair back to the nape of the neck and twist it into a bun. secure with a rubber band. Allow some strands to fall down in front of, and set with hairspray (White Rain Extra Hold Hairspray) if needed.
