What Emma Wore

Dress Guide

The Dress
Emma wore a gorgeous black dress to this event. Her dress has a very interesting neckline which is what you want to focus the most on. It also has a sculptural feel on the skirt part so if you want to go for that look try to find something like that on the bottom. But if you prefer simple, you can just focus on the neckline.

The Jacket
Emma wore a very interesting jacket to this event. It was a black leather jacket with lace-like sleeves. You can either get a normal leather jacket for your look or you can try to find a more similar jacket that has embellishments on the sleeve.

The Shoes
Emma wore a pair of very simple black flat lace up brogues to this event. They should be shiny since hers were patent leather and if you can find it, look for a white heel.

The Accessories
Emma carried a black quilted Chanel purse to the event, so to recreate this find a black quilted purse, easy enough (right?). She also wore her black Chanel watch, which we have found an AWESOME match to at overstock. You will look for a watch with a black band and diamonds around the face. She also wore simple diamond earrings and a simple silver watch.

Hair & Make-Up Guide

Make Up
The look: Shimmery gold eyes and a glowing complexion.
The idea of this look is to keep things as natural as possible. Start off by applying a coat of powder foundation (Urban Decay Surreal Skin Universal Mineral Powder) to your skin in a matching tone. Smear a peachy blush (NARS Blush in Amour) on the apples of your cheeks, sweeping up along your hairline. Line your top and bottom lids with a thick line of shimmery gold eyeliner (Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl in Golden Blaze). Curl eyelashes and apply two coats of black mascara (Kanebo 38°C Mascara in Black) to your top lashes. Finish with a sweep of sheer nude-colored lipgloss (Chanel Auqalumière Gloss High Shine Sheer Concentrate in Bonbon).

Hair
The hairstyle: A chic flipped ponytail.
Part your hair on the left and straighten it in layers. Brush your locks back into a low-sitting ponytail and secure with an elastic band. Once your hair is held in place, divide the hair above the elastic band into two sections with your fingers; flip the tail end through the divided hair and pull it through. Hold any unwanted strands back with bobby pins, and set everything with hairspray.
