Dress Guide

The Dress
What you will be looking for is a elastic type dress, with colored sequins all over it. You can range from any color you want, but it is best to have a bright metallic color, rather than neutral. This will keep the contrast around your waist line and legs. Try to keep the length of the dress to the mid thigh.

The Jacket
This coat is not required, however if you are in a colder climate it can come in handy. What to look for is a knee length trench coat. You want a sailer type coat or a pea coat. Any material is fine, just keep the color black.

The Shoes
Emma wore some killer strap over shoes, by Burberry. You are going to look for a heel that has a strap over the toe area, and then a strap around the ankle. Platforms are not required for this outfit, but are suggested because they will keep your legs looking longer. Flats are not recommended, but can be used. Stick with a leather or patent black.

The Accessories
Emma had very simple accessories for this outfit. First off look for a plain leather belt if your dress is sequined, and if it is plain use a sequined belt. Next look for a simple diamond ring. It is easy to find things like this at Claire's, or a local mall jewelry store. Finally, find a cream colored clutch. This should be about the size of a small planner. This will keep it from attracting more attention than the dress.

Hair & Make-Up Guide

Make Up
Attentive Eyes.
Start with a completely smooth surface and foundation on your face. Then, starting with the eye, line the inner lids of your eyes with black eyeliner, stay thick. Then on the surface of your lid, you are going to first apply a very thin, yet somewhat dark layer of brown eyeshadow. Next take a pencil brush and brush a shimmery eyeshadow the same color of your dress, on the tear duct area of your eye. Next take a silver shadow in the same brush and put it on the skin just under your eye. Then take a slightly bigger brush and finish off with brushing black eyeshadow over the top of your lid only, and don't cover the brown. Finish the eyes with some maximum lash mascara and curl your eye lashes. To finish the look get some nude pink lipstick or lip gloss.

Hair
Sophisitcated poof bun.
Brush your hair and make it smooth. Then, part it to the left side of your head. Hairspray the part and any other part of the bangs. Then rat the first layer of your hair so it makes a poof on the top of your head. Next you are going to pull your hair back in a pony tail, but leave out a little to hang down on your shoulders. Put this back in a pony tail, and then wrap it in to a bun and put another hair tie in it. Next pull it vertical to your head and make it longer. Then you are going to pin down the hair of the bun making it look like its rolled over itself. Round your poof and hairspray any stray hairs. Pin the bangs and excess hairs up just behind the ear. This will keep then from falling of into your face.
