Version: 5, Rouge
Lasted: January 18, 2008 - April 1, 2009
Comments: This is the first layout I (Jen) made for Sassy. I wanted a totally different feel than our previous blue look, and so I decided to hit up the other side of the color spectrum -- red! Thus, Rouge was born.

Version: 4, Blue Moon
Lasted: ??? - January 18, 2008
Comments: Although I (Jen) didn't make this layout, I do feel have the right to say that this one was freaking awesome. Nel whipped up something totally different than anything she'd ever made, and the layout actually wound up being my inspiration for our fifth look. The colors were great, the graphic was adorable; I loved everything about it. And from the sound of it, you all did, too!

Version: 3, Confetti
Lasted: May 2, 2006 - ???
Comments: After lots of complaints about Versions 1 and 2 being too busy, wide, bright, etc., we took it down a notch or five for the smaller, sweeter Confetti, a little layout based on one of my favorite Emma pictures that turned out quite festive-looking on accident, which worked well considering it was made just in time to celebrate Sassy's first birthday (hence the name Confetti). The light and dark pink/yellow color scheme is one for the ages and the amazing brushes come courtesy of Simply Brush. We don't know if it's our best layout but it sure seems to be the cutest.

Version: 2, Whimsy
Lasted: November 14, 2005 - May 2, 2006
Comments: An overdue new look for Sassy! (which had been bright magenta for six months) which came out quite nice and very different from the previous layout (although it does have stars). The Girls' Life outtakes had just been released online and within minutes of playing with one of the photos I had a swirly graphic which eventually escalated into an entire layout (named Whimsy for its curliques and overall whimsical feel).

Version: 1, Cosmic
Lasted: May 5, 2005 - November 14, 2005
Comments: I toiled for nearly a month trying to come up with something for our first layout. Nothing seemed up to standard; but then I played around with a gorgeously subtle pic of Emma from the Sony Awards, amped up the contrast and colors, played with rotation, starry shapes, and brushes, and voila!, Version One was born. Titled Cosmic because of its size, sort of galactic color scheme, and all those stars, our debut layout is a fusion of high-contrast fuschia, black and white and has a bit of a fashiony vibe to go with the content, and to be honest, we're quite proud of it.

Version: N/A (It was our Coming Soon promo page)
Lasted: February 2005 - May 5, 2005
Comments: I wanted a compact yet busy graphic that would inspire anticipation for the first sliver of what people would see of Sassy!. I purposefully matched the background to Emma's glossy lips (made even glossier thanks to PSP) for a more unexpected yet fashion-forward sort of feel. I was definitely pleased with this little layout when it was finally finished, although I did tire of it after having kept it up for nearly three months.
